Marcella Niehaus is an associate attorney at Cors & Bassett, where she focuses her practice on real estate and transactional matters. She represents individuals, landlords, and businesses in a range of commercial real estate and business transactions, including leases, purchase sales agreements, the drafting and negotiation of related agreements, and review of various contracts.

Prior to joining Cors & Bassett, Marcella practiced at a regional law firm in Dayton, Ohio, where she developed broad experience in corporate, real estate, and municipal law. Her work included structuring and forming business entities, drafting operating agreements and governance documents, and assisting with mergers and acquisitions and shareholder buy-outs. She assisted in the drafting of contracts, including commercial and residential leases, employment agreements, and municipal contracts. She has significant experience supporting municipal clients, including serving as Assistant Law Director, advising city officials, attending council meetings, drafting legislation, and assisting with zoning matters, and handling real estate closings in coordination with title companies. Earlier in her career as a law clerk, she also gained firsthand experience in real estate, probate, and small-business matters, including evictions, residential purchases, and property disputes.

Marcella earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law, where she served as a Comment Editor for the University of Dayton Law Review and received multiple academic honors, including CALI Awards for the highest grades in Civil Procedure I and Professional Responsibility. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English, summa cum laude, from Ursuline College, where she was also a cross country and track NCAA athlete. In her time practicing law in Dayton, Ohio, Marcella was Co-Chair of the Dayton Bar Association Corporate Counsel Division for 2024-2025, and a graduate of the DBA Leadership Development Class of 2025.

Marcella is admitted to practice in Ohio and is based in Cincinnati. She currently lives in Northern Kentucky with her husband and cats.
