Alison Huenefeld

Background

Alison was born and raised in the Northern Kentucky area where she spent the first three years of her legal career clerking for state and federal court judges.  Since joining Cors & Bassett, Alison has become a member of the litigation department of the firm and has successfully represented clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters, including employment matters, contract disputes, cargo claims, CSPA violations, and franchising disputes.  While Alison enjoys assisting clients navigate complex disputes of all kinds, in recent years she has focused her practice on assisting clients with employment matters including alleged Title VII and OSHA violations, FMLA and other leave issues, discharge and discipline questions, trade secret and non-competition matters, and wage and hour issues.

When Alison is not actively litigating matters, she is working to counsel clients on ways to prevent ending up in court by drafting employee handbooks and providing day to day guidance on the ever-changing employment laws.  Alison also serves a large base of franchisors by drafting and revising franchise disclosure documents and providing advice on compliance with the state and federal laws governing franchising.  Alison is licensed to practice law in both Ohio and Kentucky.

Alison still resides in the Northern Kentucky area with her husband and young son, who keeps her very busy.  She enjoys spending time with her large but close-knit extended family.
