Sara Straight Wolf

PROFILE

Sara Straight Wolf is an experienced business attorney whose goal is to analyze a situation from the client perspective, an outlook she attributes to her fifteen years of experience in corporate law departments of two Fortune 500 corporations -- first as an attorney with Armco Inc. and then as General Counsel of Lexis-Nexis.

Sara’s broad experience includes working in the areas of business entity formation, acquisitions and divestments, financings, licensing, joint ventures, business operations inside and outside the United States, employment law, and intellectual property law (trademarks, trade secrets, copyrights and licensing).

Currently Sara concentrates in the areas of E-commerce, computer and technology law, trademark and copyright law, and franchising. She also practices in the area of employment law. Sara is a certified mediator for the Butler County Common Pleas Court.

Sara received her bachelor’s degree from Miami University and her Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati College of Law where she was a member and Articles Editor of the University of Cincinnati Law Review.

AFFILIATIONS

Sara served on the American Bar Association Task Force on Computer Software Licensing from 1993-1999, and served from 1993 to 1995 as President of the Southwest Ohio Chapter of the American Corporate Counsel Association. She served on the Advisory Board of the Program in Law and Technology for the University of Dayton School of Law from 1990 to 1995. Sara currently serves as President of the Board of Trustees of Community First Services, a diversified nonprofit agency serving Burler and Warren Counties. She is also a Member of the Rotary Club of West Chester/Liberty and was a Member of Class V of Leadership Hamilton. In addition, Sara is a former Board Member of the Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati; Fort Hamilton Healthcare Corporation; Fort Hamilton Hospital; Junior Achievement of Greater Butler County; Life Span, Inc.; Butler County Law Library Association, Colonial Senior Services, Legal Aid Society of Southwest Ohio, and the Humane Association of Miami Valley.

Sara is a member of the American, Cincinnati, Butler County and the Ohio State Bar Associations .  She was named to Who's Who in Greater Cincinnati Law 2008 and was named an Ohio Super Lawyer in 2010 and 2011.
