PERSONAL INJURY/WRONGFUL DEATH

Personal Injury falls under Tort Law. Personal Injury involves civil law cases where the plaintiff tries to obtain compensation for an injury sustained to his or her person.

These injuries could occur from an automobile accident, airline or other common carrier accident, a construction or other workplace accident. Personal injury claims can also be the result of a dangerous or otherwise unsafe products and other injury-causing situations.

In order to sue for wrongful death, it must be proven that the acts or omissions of the defendant were the proximate cause of the decedent's injuries and death. This means that the defendant's wrongful conduct must have created a natural, direct series of events that led to the injury.
