For the last six years, Law and Politics Magazine and Cincinnati Magazine named Bill as one of "Ohio's Super Lawyers" in the areas of Business and Corporate law. In 1998, Bill received the Presidents Award from the Greater Cincinnati Venture Association. The Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) awarded Bill the 2006 Financier Award, recognizing Bill as one of Greater Cincinnati's individual dealmakers in his efforts to complete acquisition, joint venture, financing, and strategic alliance transactions. In 2007, Bill was named Distinguished Alumnus of the Year by Covington Latin School. In 2008, Bill was honored by Thomas More College with the prestigious Bishop Hughes award honoring those who have made substantial contributions to Catholic higher education.

Bill is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Kentucky State Bar Association, Cincinnati Bar Association, and Northern Kentucky Bar Association.
He is also a member, Past President and Board Member of the Greater Cincinnati Venture Association. His other affiliations include: Association for Corporate Growth, Past President and Board Member; Board Member of Bio Start; Member of the Executive Committee of Foundation Board of Thomas More College; Northern Kentucky University Business School Advisory Board Member; Member of The Circuit; Member of Main Street Ventures; and Member of the Cincinnati Society of Financial Analysts.
