PROFILE
Dave serves as the President of Cors & Bassett, LLC. He is a member of the firm’s litigation group and has successfully represented clients in labor and employment law as well as litigation of business, construction, trade secret and employee non-competition issues.
Dave is a graduate of Xavier University where he earned an Honors, A.B. degree in 1974 and was inducted into the Alpha Sigma Nu honors society. Dave received his law degree in 1978 from Salmon P. Chase College of Law of Northern Kentucky University, where he was Order of the Curia, served on the Moot Court Board, and was Technical Editor of the Northern Kentucky Law Review. Dave has taught Labor Law at Chase as an adjunct professor.
AFFILIATIONS
Dave is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of the United States, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States District Courts for the Southern District of Ohio and the Eastern District of Kentucky. Dave was also a Master of the Bench of the Potter Stewart Inn of Court and is now a Master of the Bench of the Salmon P. Chase Inn of Court, where he serves on the membership Committee. He is a member of the Ohio, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Northern Kentucky and American Bar Associations.
Dave has been active in many community groups. He served for six years on the Board of Directors of Campbell Lodge Boys’ Home, the last two years as President, and is currently Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Campbell Lodge Boys’ Home Foundation.
Dave’s interest in Catholic education has resulted in service on the Boards of Education of Covington Latin School (six years, two as President), St. Catherine of Siena Parish (six years, two as President), and Newport Central Catholic High School (six years, one as Vice President). In 2002, he received the Outstanding Graduate Award from the Alliance for Catholic Urban Education.
In addition, Dave served nine years on the Diocesan Committee Addressing Sexual Misconduct, a committee of the Diocese of Covington, Kentucky. Dave has been a member of the Parish Pastoral Council of St. Catherine Parish (six years, two as President). Dave is on the Board of Directors of the Cincinnati Chapter of Legatus, an organization for Catholic CEOs, and served as President of the Chapter from 2008-2011.
He is also a member of a CEO Roundtable that originated with the Cincinnati, USA Regional Chamber.

Dave has spoken on many occasions to business groups and lawyers concerning labor and employment issues, non-competition/non-solicitation/trade secret matters and construction law issues.
